Layout >> Love You Always

Today I'm sharing a layout of my bestie, Jenn!  I got to use an adorable cut file from Studio Calico.  I also crocheted the hearts myself.  It took me forever to do those little guys - I've never really crocheted before.

I rearranged my desk, so now my desk lamp is in a strange spot.  I'm still trying to figure out the best way to photograph my layouts with this new arrangement, so this one is poorly lit.

Layout >> Super Bowl XLVIII

Happy Monday everybody!  I haven't blogged (or scrapped) for a while...  I tend to lose my mojo when I get sick.  I'm determined to get back at it!!  Unfortunately, that may mean scrapping some strange things.  Like my World of Warcraft character, or my brother and sister in law, or more pictures of my dogs.  I guess it doesn't matter as long as I get scrapping, huh?

I'm anxiously awaiting my February Project Life kit.  Currently I have 2 weeks of stuff to put in PL but I don't have my kit yet.  Hopefully it'll arrive by the end of the week.

Even though I adore the color combinations in the Scraptastic Mr. Big Stuff kit, I'm having a hard time using them.  They're all such adorable patterns, but they really compete with each other.  There aren't enough solids.  And it's a lot of polka dots and plaids (which do not look good together).  I'm really glad I got the extra cardstock addon for this one.

Layout >> 'sup, Pup?

I have to say, this kit is fantastic!  The February 2014 Scraptastic kit is called Mr. Big Stuff.  It's actually "boy" themed, but I don't have any boys.  I am, however, a gamer so this kit works really well for that aspect of my life.  Needless to say, I love the colors.

This layout was made for the Scraptastic January Sketch challenge.

I really love the distress paint that came with the kit!  I painted a big heart on craft cardstock for my background.  I swapped the locations of the elements on the sketch to produce this:
